A base layer can make a big difference when it comes to body heat. In fact, the base layer is one of the basic prerequisites for dressing according to the layer-on-layer principle. The 3-layer principle

According to the layer-on-layer principle, you should dress in at least three layers to cope with low temperatures. The inner layer consists of your base layer. This is in many ways one of the most important parts. An important factor to keep in mind is the material and function. People who will be moving around a lot will need a base garment that can transport moisture away. Today, synthetic materials or combinations of polyester and cotton are usually used. The higher price ranges use synthetic fibers along with merino wool, a special type of wool that both insulates body heat and allows moisture to be transported away. It is also good to choose an undergarment with seams that do not chafe.

After the inner layer comes the middle layer. This is a thick sweater, a fleece sweater or a thermal vest. The middle layer helps to help the body retain its heat. It is important that the middle layer can transport moisture away. If you notice that it is getting too hot, you can always take this layer off.
